Comprehensive Planner (Open Positions: 1)

Announcement Number: 1693957544 The purpose of the class is to develop and maintain the County's planning process, including the systematic preparation and continual re-evaluation and updating of those elements considered critical, necessary and desirable to guide the development and redevelopment of Richland County; to assist the Planning Commission in its responsibility for compliance with the S.C. Local Government Comprehensive Planning Enabling Act of 1994, including the development, amendment and implementation of the Comprehensive Plan for Richland County, and to perform related professional and administrative work as required. This class works within broad policy and organizational guidelines and does independent planning and implementation, reporting progress of major activities through periodic conferences and meetings. Requires a Bachelor's degree in land use planning, urban or regional planning, geography, landscape architecture, public administration or a closely related field. Master's degree is desirable. Must possess a valid state driver's license. American Institute of Certified Planners certification is desirable. Requires seven years of progressively responsible experience. Master's degree may substitute for two years of progressively responsible experience.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
